Qualifications

Position Summary:As a member of theAsset Management Team, this position offers the opportunity for a self-starter with real estate related analytical and quantitative experience to work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment. This person should possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail in financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The Asset Manager will support the execution of value-add strategies of an assigned multifamily real estate portfolio. The overall responsibility is to maximize asset values through execution of the business plans and capital transaction opportunities. This is a remote opportunity (except for CA, CO, NV, NY, and WA at this time).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proactively review property operations and financials to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze value-add strategy performance to proforma/budget and market.
  • Review construction completion and interior remodel returns on investment to optimize outcomes.
  • Prepare reforecasts, cash flow modeling, and other analyses to understand performance to plan.
  • Review and approve annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Oversee property-level distributions.
  • Develop and manage investor and lender relationships.
  • Complete hold/sell/refinance analyses and present outcomes of various scenarios.
  • Prepare and present Investment Committee packages for capital transactions. Take ownership of capital transactions (refinance, supplemental, disposition) through corporate workflow.
  • Understand and monitor investment structures and business terms of loan documents, operating and management agreements, organization charts.
  • Confirm transaction accounting aligns with closing documentation.
  • Prepare and present Ownership Reporting including financial, operational, and construction performance compared to plan as necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
  • 2+ years of real estate related analytical experience (with multifamily assets preferred, not required).
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Robust motivation to learn and work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Multifamily asset management and/or acquisition underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with Yardi

Work Schedule:8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.
