Analyst, University Partnerships- San Francisco

Supports the execution of the Company’s University Partnerships development and investment platform by performing financial analyses of development opportunities, preparing appropriate documents to facilitate the underwriting and closing of real estate transactions, interfacing with advisors, brokers, equity partners, university and institutional clients, and the Company’s development leadership, and tracking and reporting on the status of student housing transactions within the assigned geographic markets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Responsibilities:
*Conducts financial analysis of development and investment opportunities, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models. Gathers, compiles, investigates, and analyzes market data to identify potential development opportunities, and prepares narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions.
*Establishes and maintains productive relationships with local market advisors, brokers, institutional, university and equity partners, lenders, real estate owners, and other key stakeholders, and appropriately manages on-going communications related to proposed development transactions.
*Identifies, investigates, and refers potential developments and acquisitions and other real estate transactions to appropriate Greystar leadership, and assists in preparing financial, market, and other documents required for new business pitches and Request For Proposals (RFPs).
*Organizes, leads, and/or participates in the due diligence on properties under contract, and develops documentation and recommendations on key findings that may affect the return and financial performance of the proposed deal.
*Monitors and reports on the status and progress of proposed development transactions within the assigned geographic region, establishes critical timelines and deadlines for tasks and activities related to the proposed transaction, and identifies and effectively addresses issues or problems that could otherwise adversely affect closing.
Other Responsibilities:
* Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Qualifications:
* Entry level, 1+ years of real estate development or investment experience preferred.
* Strong organizational, time-management and project management skills in order to effectively track, report and manage multiple projects and priorities where meeting deadlines is critical.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment with a wide variety of people, including business leaders.
* Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision.
* Capable of problem solving and using innovative solutions in order to add the most value possible to the deal, submission, and overall team.
* Highly motivated to learn specific nuances of the commercial real estate and student housing industry and driven to accomplish individual and group success.

The base compensation rate will vary based on education, experience, skills and geographic location, as applicable. For Union roles, the base compensation rate is established in the Collective Bargaining Agreement which may vary from the listed range.

$90,000.00- $100,000

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their salary. Once eligible, team members may participate in the 401k plan. Regular, full-time team members are also offered a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits from which to choose.
